(More customer reviews)If your contemplating, go ahead and buys this. Like other reviews I was surprised with the quality. It's not super thin like suits you would see in the department stores. I didn't want to spend over $150 on a good suit when my 7 year old would only wear it a few times a year (pictures, holidays, fancy dinners). So, I was bracing myself witht he fact that it would be cheap looking.
It's not cheap looking in any way. In fact, it LOOKS like an expensive suit. Even when you rub it (hugging, holding) it feels like a good quality suit made with silk fibers. But, I wouldn't let my guy hit the playground or climb trees in it, but should do just fine for Easter Egg hunts and light play.
BUT, if you're looking for a heavy weight SOLID wool suit, this is not for you. You'll be paying $[...] for that at the higher end on-line stores, and your child will be swealtering in the Spring and Summer months. On the other hand, he'll be able to play in his $[...] suit.
The SHIRT is not too thin (and not too thick). I hate when cheap shirts are so thin you can see the child's arms. This shirt is a good in-between. It's the perfect weight you want when you add the vest and jacket.
The TIE is a zip tie (our favorite). If you haven't see these type before, they're great. The tie looks like a tradional tie, but it moves up and down (to put on/off) with the ease of a zipper. The zipper is the back (thin) portion of the tie which you don't see. This way you can loosen or tighten the tie with ease. Most boys LOVE this. My only beef is that the back portion of the tie is not "wrapped" in the material - it's white like the zipper.
The VEST matches the tie and is good quality. I love that the buttons are covered in matching fabric. It brings a nice richness.
The JACKET is fully lined (even the pockets) which surprised me and have nice shoulder pads to square your guy off.
The PANTS are the same material as the jacket (not too thin, more like a silk weave).
The PRICE is low enough to take a chance and it'll be worth to try. The entire thing is machine washable!
This suit would be perfect for any wedding (indoor/outdoor), graduation ceremonies, Holiday dinners at the club, "fancy" dinners (as my guy calls them) at 4-5 star restaurants, and professional photographs.
I'm totally happy with my purchase.
